the dark suit ROCKS in terms of both aesthetic design and lore.
that the Luminoth's earliest ventures into combating the Ing involved the study, harvest and approximation of dark world energies and materials into a suit that is made to better withstand the opposite and thus light world degrading nature of the dark world over their original gear.
Honestly awesome lore implications from a simple description.

That the shoulders look like super sized filters, the departures in the breast plate design and various detailing, along with muted but awesome color pallet, mean the dark suit just HITS different visually and will always be regarded as a stand out suit.

Wasps do pollination too.
it also happens that they sting stuff repeatedly, kill stuff many times their size over, set up shop anywhere they want with the only responses being specialized gasses or extreme(ly stupid) methods of getting rid of them and generally make things unpleasant, they also make no honey.

its not that wasps do nothing, it's just that the one thing they DO is oft outweighed by the other things they also happen to do.

I mean sure, but an animals worth shouldn't be measured in how beneficial they are to humans. People love wolves, people love tigers, but those don't really benefit humans. They're great animals, of course, but not really helpful. They exist simply because they successfully stood in the face of evolution.
Plus, you could make a big argument about how honeybees, the ones everyone loves, are not native to half the places they're found and actually hugely detrimental to said environments.
