A simple increase of rear leg strength and power does not seem sufficient for the purposes of bipedal movement in unstable terrain or for combat maneuvers. Additionally current effectiveness of manipulators on arms seem ineffective for purposes of precisely or securely handling equipment such as firearms, vehicle interfaces or potential alternative melee options.
There is far greater potential combat effectiveness, but I suspect this is not the finalized design.

Not hard to imagine that the maze gets awfully small in it's corridors some times, sometimes you can't afford the physical movements to swing about a sword with twice the surface area of yourself, sometimes you have to improvise.

you're not wrong at all! A considerable issue in the maze is combat, because it's either one of two extremes: Maze is so small you can barely move at all (or not at all) or seemingly endless voids and dropoffs.
